A few years ago, an administrator of mine gave me the assignment to work on a five-year career plan. I had contemplated my career plan, but never in a formal manner. Luckily, she shared her own plan for me to use as a guide; however, it was still a torturous process. I soon realized this was a very important thing for me to do. Actually thinking about where I was, what I was doing and what I wanted to do gave me the tools to make the right choices.
