I chose the IBM Identity Mixer project to discuss considering the rapid used of technology in today’s society. Technology is continuing to impress people with several capabilities and or mobile efficiencies. Today we can find anything out about nearly anyone by the access of our phones. Like Dr. Jan Camenisch mentioned, “Today we are in an era of Big data, big data has become known.” Identity Mixer uses a cryptographic algorithm to encrypt the certified identity attributes of a user, such as their age, nationality or address, in a way that the user is able to reveal only selected pieces to third parties, such an web service or online retailer. Identity Mixer’s purpose is to enable only interest while protecting people from releasing that person information on the internet. It is currently creating alternative ways to confirm identify without providing personal attributes online. I find this very convenient and efficient for the future because if a web service gets hacked, personal information and or identity won’t be compromised if you’re only providing the web with necessary information. This project emphasizes the roll of Data and how we can collaborate it with human use. IBM wishes to help develop their own “symbolic cognitive environment.” Using the right internal and external data, we could provide a more personalized and dynamic experience for learners. Since people work in a cognitive space, we speak similar languages. Settling on a highly actionable approach can potentially generate more near term value. Better developing yield optimization, recognizing dynamic fulfillment, expand computational biology, and foreseeing e-commence can help influence this type of environment. Through IBM’s eyes, implementing these aspects will make learning effortless, relevant, and fun.3.   In IBM Academic Initiative, the project talks about the drive for “flexible cloud programs” and how the enable innovation. Students and faculty have the access to use “IBM blue mix, ” and open-standard-based platform in which rapidly builds Apps with any chargers or credit cars for up to 6-12 months. These cloud platforms can be accessed things on the inter net, compute cognitively, mobily, store big data drives. Considering the essential demand for technology in schools today, I think its an excellent that schools are creating cloud platforms and other methods to connect with students and faculty virtually.4. According to pg. 80 of IBM’s Annual report it seems that research, development, and engineering expense has decreased within the last 3 years. This is a positive turn around for the organization.
