A dielectric sphere of radius R carrying a total charge Q with a charge density distribution (here symbol ro ~ r it’s has negative one ) I don’t know how I can type it.. where r is the distance to center of the sphere.
1 Find the electric potential and field inside and outside the sphere and sketch a digram to show how the potential and field vary with r.
2. If two cylindrical holes of radius of A are cut through two orthogonal diameters of the sphere, write down the general form of the solution of the electrical potential everywhere due to the sphere in terms of legendre polynomials and /or sphererical harmonics . Make sure you draw a diagram and specify the coordinate you are using.
